A Guide to Serving Alcohol at Your Event

When one commits to planning an event or party, one must decide whether or not to serve alcohol to the guests. There are a few considerations to keep in mind and discuss with your caterer.

Is Alcohol Allowed on the Premises?

It is imperative that you find out if the place you are hosting your event allows you to serve alcohol to your guests. After you find out the answer, you need to look for a caterer that has a liquor license and is legally able to serve alcohol. If not, find out if they contract with an outside company who performs it for them.

Bartenders

Be ready to provide an estimate of how many guests will be attending. With this information the caterer will be able to provide you with a quote on how many bartenders and how many supplies will be needed to service the guests.

There are three different choices when it comes to a bar for an event: cash bar, open bar, or limited bar. A cash bar allows for guests to pay for themselves. An open bar doesn't charge the guests for alcohol but instead forwards the bill to you. A limited bar will set boundaries on what will be served and in what moderation. An example of a limited bar is an event in which beer and wine is offered to the guests at no charge and hard liquor is offered at a pre-determined price.

With Isaac's Catering you will be sure that alcohol being served at your event will be legal and affordable. You will also be supplied with a variety of options that you can choose from that Isaac's Catering will provide for you and your guests. Decide what you would like and enjoy your event!
